5 Things That Are Helping Me

During this time in lockdown, I have had a lot of time to think and I have been doing a few things which have really been helping me out a bit.

1. Staying off social media
One thing that has really helped me out is staying off social media. I have deleted the Facebook and Snapchat apps off my phone and I no longer spend a lot of time endlessly scrolling through Twitter or Instagram. Mostly because everyone is pretty much saying the same thing these days and I just don't see the point of social media anymore. It has been really helpful to just stay off social media.

2. Reading
Reading books has really helped me to the past the time. As you know if you've been reading my blog, I have been slowly going through the books on my bookshelf that I haven't read yet. I am discovering why I actually bought a few books and discovering some new favourites which is really nice. Plus it feels good to add more books to my read list. My goal is to read twenty books this year which I'm on track to do.

3. Colouring in
I've also spent a bit of time colouring in some of my colouring books. I've never actually fully completed one before so I thought now is the time to do so. It feels very therapeutic. I like to do while I'm either listening to audiobook or watching a movie or TV Show. Which brings me onto the next thing that has been really helping.

4. Watching Friends
I've been currently binge watching Friends and I'm currently in the middle of Season 3. It has been a while since I've watched the episodes back to back so it's kind of nice to switch it on to my current episode. One thing I am so grateful for is having the Friends DVD box set because that has really been helpful.

5. Spending time with my mum
This lockdown has allowed me to spend more time with my mum. Obviously we hang out a lot anyway because we live together but we've had moments where we just talk, watch movies and TV together plus even eating dinner together. It feels really nice and having her around has stopped me from going inside because I have someone to talk to everyday. Spending time with my mum has really helped me out a lot.
