5 Ways To Unwind

Sometimes life can be stressful which makes it hard to unwind and relax for the evening. I thought why not help you guys by giving you five ways to unwind and relax for the evening.

Let's get started

1. Take a bath

I find taking a bath can be so relaxing because you can just lay there listening to your favourite music or I sometimes watch an episode of a TV show. I find it more relaxing than taking a shower because you're just laying there. You can take your time. The water is hot for ages and it's all good. Especially when it's one of those baths where you don't need to wash your hair. It's just nice. Just try not to fall asleep in the bath because that can be dangerous. That's why it's good to have something to do in the bath like listening to music or watching something.

2. Comfy clothes

As it's the evening you're allowed to put on some comfy clothes or even your pyjamas because who even cares what you look like. The best way to relax is while you're wearing something comfy. You don't want to spend the rest of your evening relaxing in your jeans. Get those PJs on and get ready to unwind.

3. Go Offline

Something I kind of struggle with in the evenings is getting off my phone and laptop. It's like I constantly need to be on them. However, I have noticed a difference to my evenings when I'm on my phone and laptop less. I can focus on watching a movie or a TV show. I can just relax and not worry about what's going on in the world. Also I'm just not wasting my time scrolling through Twitter and Instagram and just enjoying my evening. So try going offline more in the evenings and see if it helps you unwind.

4. Writing in your journal

Something I've been really into lately is writing in my journal. I even write dear diary because why not. It feels like I'm just letting all my thoughts out at the end of the day. I also do this in the morning sometimes. I just write about my thoughts on what's worrying me, what made me happy. Just pretty much anything. I find it relaxing because it feels like it's taking a weight off my shoulders and I've just kind of released all the negative thoughts and things that are bring me down. It makes me focus more on what's positive right now. It's kind of nice just having a little place to write all my thoughts and feelings on. I know I have my blog to do that but you don't' need to know every thought or feeling I have. A journal is a place where nobody can judge you and it's very relaxing.

5. Reading a book

My final way is of course reading a book. I love just getting lost in a story for a while. It kind of makes me forget the problems of the real world and I can just focus on the characters in the book. Especially when it's a really good story. One book I love getting lost in is Harry Potter is I'm doing my yearly re read of Harry Potter then it's just nice to get lost in the wizarding world. Even though I know the series back to front. I still enjoy it every time. I kind of wish I could read the series for the first time again because it is truly a magical book series. So yeah if you want to relax and unwind for the evening then definitely read a book.

Anyway, that's my five ways to unwind and relax. I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know how you like to unwind and relax in the evenings.

I'll be back again tomorrow with another post.

See you then.
