Packing Up My Life Again

I can't believe it's nearly the end of August and in just over a week I'll be moving out of my mum's house to go and start my postgraduate course in Manchester.

The packing has been really daunting because I'm just afraid of forgetting something and also trying not to pack too much. I'm also a little nervous because we are still in a pandemic but I've been fully reassured by emails that the accommodation and campus is safe and following government guidelines so that makes me feel better. Obviously I never planned to do this during a pandemic because I applied back in February before the whole country went into lockdown but here we are. I just can't believe it's actually happening.

Throughout this month I've been slowly packing up my things and figuring out everything I'm taking. It feels weird to be packing up my life again to go to university and I'm so glad I didn't get rid of any of my uni stuff from the first time so that is always helpful. I have bought a few new pieces because I'm going to be having a slightly bigger bed. I finally have a double duvet which may not be such a big deal to some people but I have spent my whole life with a single duvet on my bed so I'm so excited to have a bigger duvet.

It just feels weird to me because my plan after this course is to move into my own flat in Manchester so really this is me officially moving out of my mum's house. Of course I'll be coming back and visiting home, plus I'll still have some of my stuff at home because I can't take everything. I have a feeling I'm going to be very emotional on moving day.

So yeah, that's all I have to say about it for now. My question of the day is are you planning on going to university in September and how are you feeling about it? Let me know in the comments below, I would love to hear it.

Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back again soon with another post.

See you then.
