Festive Makeup

Tonight I'm going to my works Christmas party so I thought why not share the makeup I'm using and also give you guys some ideas on makeup this Christmas. Whether it's for a party, Christmas Day, everyday life or just because. Hopefully you can take something away from this post.

So let's begin.

1. Primer
I don't usually wear primer every time but on special occasions or if I know I'm going to wear foundation then I'll use primer. I like to use Collection's Primed and Ready primer for the face and their eye primer too. I just think it helps to keep my makeup on for a long time and I do notice a difference when I put it on. I also love how these primer feel on my skin. Plus it contains Witch Hazel which helps with spots and blemishes so it helps take care of your skin as well which is useful.

2. Foundation
I now only own two foundations in my collection but this is the one I use all the time. It's the Rimmel Lasting Radiance foundation. I just love how this feels on my skin. It blends in well that you can't tell I'm wearing foundation. I also love the coverage. I find myself using less concealer when I'm wearing this foundation. I absolutely love it.

3. Concealer
The concealer I swear by is the Revolution Conceal and Define. Honestly I absolutely love this. It has great coverage and blends in so well. It's so affordable and just matches my skin perfectly. I honestly won't use any other concealer now. This is all I need to conceal my under eye dark circles and any spots or blemishes. It''s great.

4. Powder
The powder I use to set my foundation and concealer is the e.l.f. sheer tint finishing powder. It sets my face nicely but also works just as good alone or with a bit of concealer. It blends in so nicely and feels soft on my skin.

5. Contour
For contouring I like to use the e.l.f. Contouring Blush and Bronzer in the shade Fiji-Matte. It matches my skin great and doesn't look muddy or orange. It's a very nice suttle contour shade and blends in very nicely. You can do it suttle or build it up. It works well for me.

6. Blusher
One thing I have been loving recently is cream blush. It's just so quick and easy to use. For everyday use and for going out too. I love the Collection Speedy Blush in the shade Tickled Pink. It blends in so well and it's also build able. I love using it on a daily basis.

7. Highlighter
Another thing I love to use from Collection is the speedy highlighter. Like with the blusher, it's so quick and easy to use. You just apply to all the points of your face to highlight and blends in so well. It's also a very suttle highlighter so it's not to overpowering and just gives you a nice natural glow.

8. Eyebrows
For my eyebrows, I love using the e.l.f. brow pencil in the shade taupe. I love how quick and easy it is to use. It also has a spoolie on the end which makes it easier to brush out and shape the eyebrows. You don't even need a brush for this product. It's so easy and makes your eyebrows look so natural.

9. Eye shadow
Of course Christmas is the perfect time for glitter eye shadows and I think the perfect palette to use is the I Heart Revolution Nudes mini eyeshadow palette. There's plenty of shimmery shades but also three matte shades to make a few looks with for your Christmas celebrations. I just love this palette and it's also small so it's travel friendly too.

10. Mascara
It's also a great time to go big with your lashes. My favourite mascara is the Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof mascara. I find waterproof mascara the best to use because it doesn't smudge and lasts a really long time. I also like that with this mascara you can do suttle lashes or also have voluminous lashes. It's perfect.

11. Lips
For the lips I've chosen three products. The first is Vaseline because it's important to moisturise your lips plus I always trust Vaseline to make my lips moisturised. The second is a new product but I thought I'd give it a try. It's the Zoella Tinted Berry Lip Oil. I find this to be great for moisturising my lips but also leaving a nice berry tint on my lips so that I can wear it on it's own but also knowing it's stopping my lips from getting dry. The final product is the Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick in the shade Vintage Pink. This is a very beautiful pink shade so it's perfect for party season and once again it's very moisturising on your lips which is perfect for when the weather gets colder and your lips get dry. At least you know your lips won't get dry this winter month.

Anyway, that is my festive makeup look. I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know what your favourite makeup products to use this month are in the comments below. I would love to hear them and get recommendations from you guys.

I'll be back again tomorrow with another Blogmas post for you.

See you then.
